1920-1930: After returning from a stint in Germany, Ernest left the service and became a salesman in the retail grocery business. About 1926, probably in Northampton Co, Pennsylvania, he married Olga V. OTTENBACHER, daughter of William F. & Elizabeth OTTENBACHER.

27 April 1942: Again he joined the US Army in Lehigh Co, Pennsylvania, age 51 yrs, born Monticello, Fla. (World War II)
