John is the son of John Andrew Dillon and Sarah Ann Lytle.

Husband of the late Emma Goodwill Troutman
Father of 3 daughters and 3 sons: Frances, Robert, Arthur, Katherine, Donald and Sarabeth.

John 76, a former attorney, died September 28th, 1952 in Glen Ellen, California. He was cremated and his ashes arrived at the Schneeberger funeral home. Rev. George E. Parkinson conducted the graveside services in Westlawn Cemetery.

John had also been associated with the C. N. Vicary Co. when in Canton. He had served as Secretary of several chambers of Commerce since going to California. They included Pasadena, Oakland, Odessa, Oroville.

His wife the former Emma Goodwill Troutman, died in 1935. He is survived by three daughters, Miss Frances Helen Dillon of Moorehead, Minnesota, Mrs. Katherine Emma Baxter of Larkspur, California, and Mrs. Sarabeth Anderson of Oroville, California; two sons Dr. Robert T. Dillon of Wilmette, Ill and Donald Goodwill Dillon of North Canton, and a sister Mrs. Nellie Santmyer of Canton, and three brothers, Harry Goodwill Dillon, Charles Andrew Dillon of Canton and Howard Dillon of Alliance. His son Arthur John died in 1925 swimming in Oregon; hit his head on a rock and did not survive. I was told he was a very good swimmer too.
