Charles B. Linville, 73, a retired farmer, died at his home northeast of Manilla Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock after a serious illness since Christmas.

He was born in Shelby County May 6, 1875 and married Cora Leutitis Carney December 16, 1894, who survives with six daughters, Mrs. Laura Marie Thoms, Mrs. Ruth Velma Mohr, Mrs. Esther Lucille Waltz and Mrs. Fannie Alice Carmony, all of Shelby County, Mrs. Nevata Agnes Kuhn, Milroy and Mrs. Enna Pearl Fagel, St. Paul; a brother Elbert Linville, Anderson; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the United Brethren Church, six miles west of Manilla, where services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be at Bennett's Cemetery, north of Ray's Crossing. Friends may call at the Carmony Funeral Home, Manilla any time.
