Leola Pearl Marshall Bentz, 88, of Millers, died Sunday, October 31, 1993 at the Carroll County Hospital, Westminster.

She was born September 21, 1905 in Baltimore, the daughter of the late James S. and Mazzie V. (Holbrook) Marshall.

She was predeceased by her husbands, the late Thomas V. Wertz and the late George E. Bentz.

She was the former owner / operator of a private rest home in Baltimore from 1955 to 1976. She was also a member of St. Paul's United Bretheran Church of Christ in Millers.

She is survived by sons Thomas J. Wertz of Baltimore and Donald G. Wertz of Hampstead; daughters Virginia Wilson of Millers and Earline N. Neal of Freeland; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, at the J. J. Hartenstein Mortuary, 24 Second Street, New Freedom, PA. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, at St. Paul's Church, Millers.

Burial will be at St. Paul's Cemetery. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. David W. Burk.
