Mrs. Sarah R. Briggs
Services for Mrs. Sarah R. Briggs, 85, Oakland, will be held at 4 p.m. today in the First Methodist church, the Rev. Oscar M. Newby officiating. Interment will be in the Santa Maria cemetery.
Mrs. Briggs, resident here from 1946 to 1950, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Nina P. Briggs, Oakland. She was born Feb. 28, 1869, in Brevard, N. Car.
She was the wife of the late Rev. A. C. Briggs who died in 1937. Survivors include her daughter, a son, A. P. Briggs, Oklahoma; three brothers, three sisters, 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
