William "Bud" Ethan Adams, was the husband of Pauline Burnett Adams. He was one of the oldest Correctional Officers for the Arkansas Department of Correction until his retirement. He was a businessman in Dumas operating Adams Merchantile store in downtown Dumas, also "Buds Big Dip" ice cream store treating thousands of children for decades. He served for many years as a Justice of the Peace on the Desha County Quorum Court until his death. He and his wife are both interred in Walnut Lake Cemetery at Pickens, Arkansas.
