DEATH CALL MRS. MANDANA BURTNETT TUESDAY EVENING
Mrs. Mandana Burtnett, the widow of Franklin F. Burtnett, died at 11 o'clock Tuesday night in her home, 210 Allens avenue, after an illness lasting seven weeks. Mrs. Burtnett had been a Galesburg resident for 42 years, and before that lived in Maquon, her birthplace.
Mandana McWilliams was born near Maquon on Jan. 12, 1855. She was raised and educated there, and married to Franklin F. Burtnett, who died on Feb. 26, 1912. The family came here 42 years ago to live. Mrs. Burtnett was a member of the First Methodist church, and belonged to the Illini club.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. N.B. Dimmitt of this city; R.D. Burtnett of Middletown, O.; H.M. Burnett of Hudson, N.Y., and Mrs. Arthur Sprenger of Peoria; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Three daughters preceded her in death, Jennie Burtnett on Jul. 31, 1879; Luciel Burtnett on Jan. 4, 1899, and Mrs. Charles W. Snyder, who succumbed two years ago this month. Mrs. Burtnett was the last survivor of a family of nine children.
Funeral rites will be held at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning from the First Methodist church, in charge of Dr. S.A. Guthrie. Burial will be in Maquon cemetery. Friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening at the home, 210 Allens avenue.

RITES HELD TODAY FOR LOCAL WOMAN
Funeral services for Mrs. Mandana Burtnett were held at 10:30 o'clock this morning from the First Methodist church, in charge of Dr. S.A. Guthrie, pastor. Will Lawrence, Clifford Anderson, William Wallace and Eschel Johnson sang "Going Down the Valley" and "In the Sweet Bye and Bye," with Mrs. Lola Cummings at the organ. Burial was in Maquon cemetery. Casket bearers were Milo Wiley, Art Haselkamp, Walter Sundberg, E.E. Elwert, George Springer and Fred Brooks.
Those from out of the city here for the services included Robert D. Burtnett of Middletown, O.; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Burtnett of Hudson, N.Y.; Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Sprenger and sons Robert, Jack and Dick, of Peoria; Miss Lucille Sprenger of Madison, Wis.; William Snyder of Davenport, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burtnett Jr., Mrs. John Vonachen, Ray Ileff, Richard Kavanaugh, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sprenger, Misses Elizabeth and Myrtle Sprenger, all of Peoria.
