Mr. Bond was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Saucier. He was the retired owner and operator of Bond Tech Supply. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #422, F and AM of Gulfport and a member of the Shriners. He was also a member of Clown Corporation of Shriners and 32nd degree Scottish Rite order of Eastern Star, Coast Chapter #51 and a member of Krewe of Lagniappe.
His parents, Floyd A. and Inez Bond, precede Mr. Bond in death. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Bond of Gulfport, a son, Michael Bond and his wife, Sharon of Gulfport, a daughter, Debi Necaise and her husband, Chevis of Pass Christian, a brother, Freddie Bond and his wife Anna of Saucier, two sisters, Mary Jo Johnson and her husband, Paul of Gulfport and Sarah Batte and her husband, Tommy of Mt. Olive, MS. Grandchildren, Jodi and Mike Dewitt of Pass Christian, Kyle Christopherson of Pass Christian, Michael Bond Jr. of Gulfport, and Peyton Bond of Gulfport. Great-Grandchildren, Braxon Dewitt of Pass Christian, Tipper Dewitt of Pass Christian, Britt Dewitt of Pass Christian and Eli Christopherson of Pass Christian.
Visitation will be today at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, Hwy 49 North, Gulfport from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 8, 2003 at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, Hwy. 49 North Chapel at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum in Gulfport.
