Funeral services for August Katge, age 76, of Rock valley were held in the Calvin Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. John Engbers conducted the services and burial was int he West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City with the Van Etten Funeral Home of Orange City in charge.

Mr. Katge died March 18 in the Hegg Memorial Hospital of a long illness. Mr. Katge was born August 19, 1898. He married Alice Dragt on June 28, 1922 in Orange City. They moved to Rock valley from Orange City in 1967.

Survivors include the widow and 2 sons, Frank of Escondido, Calif, and Gerald of Houston, Texas. A daughter Mrs. Agnes Van Zee of Rock Valley; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; two brothers, Gerrit of Patterson, New Jersey and George of Phoenix Arizona; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Van Schepen of Lodi, New Jersey, Mrs. Charles (Jennie) Siebersma of Midland Park, New Jersey and Mrs. Henrietta Van Dyk of Paterson,
New Jersey.
