Edwin A. Gorsky, 85, WaKeeney, died Monday, May 30, 2011, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.
He was born April 15, 1926, in Trego Center to Joseph and Amalie (Michaelis) Gorsky.
He married Vera Jean (Spradling) Gorsky on May 18, 1947. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, WaKeeney; a son, Dale Gorsky and wife, Cherlyn, Fort Collins, Colo.; a brother, Marvel McGuire, WaKeeney; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, WaKeeney; burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery with military rites by Fort Riley Color Guard, Fort Riley.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney.
Memorials are suggested to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
