Henry Edward (Paw Paw) Schmidt, age 95, of Austin, died Wednesday, December 1, 1999. He was a long-time resident of Austin and a member of Trinity Evangelical Free Church. Mr. Schmidt was the Past Master of Onion Creek Masonic Lodge #220 A. F. and A.M. He retired from Steck Publishing Co. Mr. Schmidt was preceded in death by his son, Henry E. Schmidt Jr., and his first wife, Etha Flournoy Schmidt . Survivors are his wife, Florence Schmidt ; two children, Genelle Schlickeisen and Bettye Rathbone, all of Austin; seven grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, at Harrell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, at 11:00 a. m. with Reverend Tony Carr, officiating. Burial will be at Forest Oaks Memorial Park, under the auspices of Onion Creek Masonic Lodge #220. Arrangements with Harrell Funeral Home, 443-1366.
