Earl Hipsley, 85, of New Market died early Saturday morning at Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg where he had been a patient for two weeks following an auto accident Aug 12 near Sidney. The accident occurred as he was on his way home from visiting his daughter in California.

Mr Hipsley was born Jan 14, 1887, at Rushville, Neb, the son of Asa Truman and Ella S. Stickley Hipsley. His wife Edna died in 1967. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs C.E. (Verna Grace) Green of San Anselmo, Calif, and three grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held this Monday morning at Walker Funeral Home with Loren Daly of New Market officiating. Norma Kramer was organist. Honorary bearers were Joe Hipsley, Orie Thompson, Carl Snodgrass, Eugene McAlpin, Charles Thompson, and Glen Gillett. Casket bearers were Vanzo Drennen, Muriel Hargis, John Mike Hipsley, Orville Wood, Orville Preeo and Gene Renshaw. Burial was in Memory Cemetery at New Market. second dau was Verna Grace Hipsley born 18 Jul 1922 New Market and died 21 Jan 2002 Sonoma, Sonoma Co, Calif. She married Clarence Everett Green.
