Born March 23, 1887, at Six Mile Run, she was a daughter of William and Ruth Ann (Whitney) Watson. She was united in marriage to Newton W. Black in 1906; he preceded her in death February 22, 1955.
Surviving are three sons: Robert E. Black, Adam J. Black and Victor S. Black, all of Broad Top, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jean Mancini, Baltimore, Md.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One son preceded her in death.
The deceased was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was of the Church of God faith.
Funeral services will b held Tuesday, September 23, at 2 p.m. from the Masood funeral chapel, Saxton. The Rev. Robert P. Raycroft will officiate and interment will be made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Broad Top. Friends may call at the funeral chapel at 7 p.m. today and until the hour of the services on Tuesday.
