All census records use the English spelling of Caroline. In 1900, she reported 12 births of which 7 were then living. Friedrick, a Civil War veteran, preceded her in death by one year.

Karoline came from West Prussia in 1868 with her parents, a sister and a brother. She married Friedrich Taschner 7-3-1870. There were 12 children born of this union:
