Note:
Came to northeast Missouri in the fall of 1838 with four of his brothers and settled in what later became Knox County. They came to that locality by wagon (prairie schooner) from Indiana. Three of the brothers- -Robert, David and Adam, remained in Missouri. Andrew S Nelson went up into Iowa at Farmington, just over the line from N.E. Missouri.
David, Robert and Adam all built homes within a radius of one mile of each other.
