Carl Huber Polley was born February 17, 1880 in Cooper county, MO and passed away December 28, 1952 at Norman, OK.
Mr. Polley lived most of his life in Oklahoma and at Seymour and Ozark, MO. He was united in marriage to Nellie Corbin Lakin on September 27, 1899 and to this union were born eleven children. His wife and one son preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Baptist Church at Yale, OK., where he spent several years of his life.
Surviving are his children, six daughters, Mrs. May Napier of Monett, MO., Mrs. Agnes Melton, Mrs. Letha Miller and Mrs. Gladys Barlow of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Juanita Brown of Riddle, OR., and Mrs. Coeta Inman of Tulsa, OK.; four sons, Ralph of Shawnee, OK., Jack of Kansas City, MO., Clifford and Chester of Ozark; 26 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, December 30 in the Chaffin Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Combs officiating. Burial was in the Highlandville Cemetery under direction of Chaffin of Ozark.
