Hans Hanson was b in what is now PA on Delaware Bay
New Sweden Tinicum PA (near Phila Airport) - His parents Anders (Andrew)/Annicake
Hanson left New Sweden in 1652/1653 for Kent Island MD (now Kent Cty) He was apprenticed to
Maj Jos Wickes (a Kent Cty Burgess) in 1655 a title Hans
would eventually hold. He was with the MD
General Assembly/Legislature at the time of his
death and owned 1300 acres onLangford Bay, (near Rock Hall, MD). He also was a vestryman of St Paul's CH, Chestertown, MD
