Mary was born in Kristiana ( now Oslo) Norway on May 21, 1874 to Lars and Elizabeth Marie(Hanson)Knutson. The family immigrated to Gilman Iowa in 1883. Later they moved to South Omaha Nebraska. Mary met and married Charles Patterson Jan 28,1891. They moved to a farm at 84th and Havelock Ave around 1900. They were the parents of 12 children. Charles died in 1915, and in 1917 Mary married Charles Wagaman. They continued farming and Charles died in 1931. A few years later Mary moved to her home near the town of Havelock and remained there until a few years prior to her death.
