ILION-Ralph D. Edick, 82, of Upper Otsego St. died Tuesday, December 16,1986, in his home.
Mr. Edick was born June 13,1904, in North Columbia, the son of John and Blanche DeGarmo Edick. He was a graduate of Ilion High School and married the former Marion Leon on April 14,1926. Mr. Edick owned and operated Edick's Appliances on upper Otsego St. Ilion, retirering in 1980. He was a member of the Ilion United Methodist Church, the Ilion Lodge #591 F & A M, the Ilion Lodge #1444 BPOE and also was an avid bowler.
Mr. Edick is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Joesph ( Eileen) McIntyre, of Ilion; three grandchildren, Denise Grier, Kimberly Montel and Sheri Wengert; four great-grandchildren and a nephew. He was predeceased by a brother Ross Edick.
Funeral services will be at 11 a. m. Thursday, from the Whiter -Hendrex Funeral Home, with Rev Stanley Tanner and Carlton VanOrnum officiating. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Wednesday. The internment will be at the Armory Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
