William H Arnold. funeral services for William H. Arnold, 83, well known Bedford resident, whose death occurred early yesterday morning will be conducted at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Arnold home. Rev. George I. Methorn , pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bedford, of which Mr. Arnold was a member, will officiate. Interment in Bedford Cemetery will be directed by Pate & Son of Bedford. Mr. Arnold's death, which was attributed to a heart ailment, broke a marriage union of 62 years. Mr. Arnold was born in Bedford County, a son of John and Margaret (Over) Arnold. His father was a carpenter and the deceased learned the trade from him and engaged in the constuction business in Bedford for more than 62 years. Mrs. and Mrs. Arnold observed their 62nd wedding anniversary several months ago. Surviving are his widow. Mrs. Eleanor (Amos) Arnold, and these children: Henry, Ralph and George Arnold, Gertrude, wife of Walter Bowers, Carrie, wife of Charles Moorhead and Dorothy wife of Clemence Johnson all of Bedford; Richard and Rena Arnold, both at home; Leona, wife of Ira Kring, and Virginia, wife of Arthur Kinzey, both of Johnstown, and Lista, wife of John McCoy, Altoona. Mr. Arnold was a brother of Frank Arnold, Bedford; Jacob Arnold, Houtzdale, Harry Arnold residing in California and Mrs. William Poorman, Harrisburg. he was a member of the Bedford Lutheran Church.

His wife heard him breathing more heavily than usual, but he died before help could be summoned. Mr. Arnold was born in Bedford on June 8, 1856, a son of John and Margaret (Over) Arnold, and resided there all his life, being a carpenter by trade. His is surveved by his wife Mrs. Eleanor (Amos) Arnold and the following children; Mrs. John McCoy of Altoona, Miss Rena Arnold, Mrs. Charles Moorehead, Mrs. Clement Johnson and Mrs. Walter Bowers, all of Bedford, Mrs. Arthur Kensey and Mrs. Ira Kring, both of Johnstown, Henry, Ralph, George and Richard Arnold, all of Bedford, and a number of grandchildren and these brothers and sisters; Frank Arnold of Bedford, Jacob Arnold of Houckdale, Harry Arnold of California and Mrs. William Poorman of Harrisburg.
