WOLCOTT ~ William J. Vaillancourt, Jr, 78, of Wolcott passed away on Friday, May 27th at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the widow of Nanette (Ulrich) Vaillancourt.

Mr. Vaillancourt was born January 9, 1933 in Bristol, son of the late William J. and Lillian (Brooks) Vaillancourt. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired as self employed blasting contractor and was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. Mr. Vaillancourt enjoyed traveling and ballroom dancing.

He leaves his son Michael Vaillancourt and his wife, Julia Saville of Champaign, IL, his niece, Carol Cmiel and her husband Shawn Dunn of Wolcott and his loving companion, Claire Voos of Branford.

Funeral services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, Boundline Rd., Wolcott at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Friends may call at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott from 11:30 until 1:30 pm.

Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., 1-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3045.
