Mrs. Nettie J. Borders, 74, a long-time Harbor resident, died Saturday afternoon in a local hospital.

Mrs. Borders was born at Darlington, Wis., and went to Sioux City, Iowa, at the age of 2. The family later moved to Neely, Neb., where Mrs. Borders was graduated from Gates Academy. She lived in Texas and new Mexico before coming to the Harbor in 1909.

Surviving are her husband, Verner C. Borders, at the home, 610 Perry Ave.; two daughters, Mrs. Glen B. (Kathleen) Hicks, Aberdeen, and Mrs. Bron (Rita) Norbut, Bremerton; a son Glenn E. West, Aberdeen; a sister, Mrs. Dan (Kate) Doughhetee, Barstow, Texas; a brother, George Pilling, Los Angeles; a cousin, Mrs. Elsie Chamberlain, Glendale, Calif.; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Borders was a member of the First Methodist Church of Aberdeen.

The funeral will be at 2 o'clock Tuesday (10-19-65) afternoon from the Eldering Chapel in Aberdeen with Dr. Howard Yoder officiating. Internment will follow in Fern Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bron Norbut, Al G. Olson, Fritz Peterson, Herb Powers, Clint Richardson and Duane Wise.
