Born October 20, 1897, in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Roseanna McBee Householder and a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Berkeley Springs.
Surviving are her husband, Gardner I. Cain Sr. at home; one daughter, Pauline Virginia Bechtol of Berkeley Springs; two sons Gardner I. Cain Jr. and Virgil F. Cain, both of Berkeley Springs; 27 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 27, at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hennis Fox assisted by the Rev. Joseph Bradshaw officiating. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery. Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
