She was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 30, 1915, to Lillian and Carl Walter.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years and "the love of her life" Frank Andrew Balcar.
She is survived by their five children Bruce Balcar (Betty), St. Clairsville, Paul (Linda) Balcar, St. Clairsville & Palm Beach, FL, Karen (John) McGraw, Taylors, SC, Mark Balcar, St. Clairsville and Barbara Balcar, St. Clairsville & Palm Beach, FL.
Lenor is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Lenor graduated from Fostoria High School, Miami Jacobs Business College and Ohio State University, Phi Beta Kappa.
She was a 59 year member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, St. Clairsville and a 50 year member of The Women's Auxiliary of the American Institute of Mining Engineers serving as president for two years and on the Board of Directors for 15 years in NY, NY.
She was a 40 year member of the Seasiders Club, Palm Beach Shores and an accomplished and avid porcelain artist.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011, 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church, St. Clairsville.
