She was born October 22, 1903, near New Market, the daughter of Newton and Carrie Cade Jones. She graduated from New Market High School and Drake University and taught in New Market public school for a number of years. In 1933 she moved to Kansas City and was an assistant cashier in the Commerce Bank until her retirement in 1968.
She united with the New Market Church of Christ on January 7, 1929.
She is survived by a sister Velma N. McKay of Kansas City, Mo, and a brother Don H. Jones of Shenandoah. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by parents, and a brother Garve.
Funeral services were held Monday morning, at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with Carl Cummings officiating. Burial was in Memory Cemetery at New Market.
