PERRY, Okla. - Mac E. Beadles, 68, Perry, Okla., died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, at his home.

He was born Aug. 19, 1934, in Fredonia, the son of Ellis Mac and Ruth Lillian Bales Beadles.

He was a 1952 graduate of Fall River Rural High School and a 1985 graduate of the Kansas Law Enforcement Academy.

He worked in farming, ranching and construction and retired as a conservation officer with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks in 1995. After retirement, he worked at Big J. Pump and Supply in Perry, Okla.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Perry and the Kansas Peace Officers' Association. He was also a member and past Worshipful Master of the Greenwood 163 Masonic Lodge of Fall River.

On Aug. 19, 1953, he married Peggy Palmer in Fredonia. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Sherri Huneycutt of Edmond, Okla., and Kristi Johnson of Perry, Okla.; his mother, Ruth Beadles of Perry, Okla.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the First Presbyterian Church in Perry, led by the Rev. Tim Boggess.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Fredonia City Cemetery, Fredonia.

Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church of Perry or the Judith Karman Hospice of Stillwater and may be left with the funeral home.
