OBIT: Mr. Houk living near Monegaw Springs was engaged digging a well near Chalk Level one day last week. He put in a blast and applied the torch to the fuse, and waited a proper time for the blast to fire. Thinking the fuse had gone out...he approached the well, which was about 16 feet deep, just as he leaned over the well, the blast went off. this happened on Oct 5th, he passed away Oct 8th.
