This is very hard to read - Died, on Jun 16, 1880, of erysipelas, J.J. Craft, in the 44th years of his age. Mr Craft came to Taylor County about 27? years ago, and at the time of his death was post-master at Memory. He had many friends and few, if any enemies. The writer had known for many years, and has yet to hear anyone say ought against the deceased. To know him was to respect him as a true man. He became identified with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church about ten years ago, and has always been a consistent member of that organization. The day following the death of the deceased, Rev H.W. Zentz preached a funeral discourse in the M.E. church at Memory, to a densely crowded house, the text being the 14th chapter of Revelations and the 13 verse.
