Brother to Martin E Vosburgh (1807-1870), David Vosburgh (1808-1865), Cornelia Catherine Vosburgh (1810-1896), William S Vosburgh (1812-1899), George Schoonmaker Vosburgh (1814-1891), Gilbert J. Vosburgh (1818-1893), Joanna Vosburgh Rowe (1823-1879), Orville B Vosburgh (1829-1889) and Peter Edward Vosburgh (1832-1904).
He married Christina Williams (1834-1914). They had 6 known children: Wakely Vosburgh (1859-?), Ella C. Vosburgh Tompkins (1860-1941), Margaret A Vosburgh Pells (1863-1921), David Vosburgh (1861-1885), Ira P Vosburgh (1868-1869) and Edgar Vosburgh (1864-?)
