Robert L. "Bob" Roby, 85, of Reynolds Station died Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Reynolds Station, and his parents are deceased. He retired from Hancock County Road Department and was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Ora Myrl Crowe Roby; four sons, Randall Roby of Pattyville, Charles "Buddy" Roby of Utica, Larry J. Roby of Lewisport and Bruce Roby of Reynolds Station; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis Roby of Whitesville and Bill Roby of Pekin, IL; and a sister, Cecilia Rearden of Pekin.
Services are at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Friday at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville. Prayers will be said at 7:15 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Thomas Cemetery Fund.
