KOSCIUSKO - R. E. 'Red' Alldread, 76, retired supervisor for South Central Bell after 35 years, died of cancer Saturday at his home. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Jordan Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Cemetery. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Parkway Baptist Church, Trinity Masonic Lodge #88, American Legion Fred Wasson Post #44, Bell South Pioneers and Redbud Springs Golf Club. Mr. Alldread, the husband of Estelle J. Alldread, also leaves three daughters, Ethel J. Boring of Starkville and Susan Alldread Sanders and Diane J. Thomas, both of Kosciusko; six sons, Lynn Alldread of Springs, Texas, Raymond E. Alldread of Conyers, Ga., Steve Alldread of Orange Park, Fla., Rudy Johnson of Starkville and Tim Johnson and James E. Johnson, both of Madison; three sisters, Dorothy Brown of Tulsa, Okla., Dora Adams of Breckingridge, Texas, and Charlotte Bradley of Jasper, Ga.; a brother, Charles 'Chuck' Alldread of Bixby, Okla., 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Sta-Home Hospice in Carthage.
