A 1964 graduate of Farmington High, "Kingfish", as many will remember Richard went on to be an over the road truck driver, a heavy equipment operator and a mechanic.
In his younger years he was a racing enthusiast having both driven and participated in local racing events. He was an avid reader as well as a collector of John Deere and Ford memorabilia.
He loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He will be remembered for having a great sense of humor and for dubbing everyone with an appropriate nickname.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Linda (Henson) King, son, Edward L. (Karen) King, son, Michael John (Angie) King Tournbaugh, daughter, Robin Lee (Mrs. William) Rodgers and daughter, Angela Lee King Rose; seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy Martin and a brother, John King and his wife Donna and a host of extended family and friends.
A special thank you is expressed to Shawn, Chrissy and Shannon, the caregivers from Preferred Hospice who were so supportive to Richard and his family.
