Glenn Ezell, 72, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, August 1, at an Arlington nursing home. Mr. Ezell was bron September 2, 1917 in Woodbury, son of Matt and Catherine Downing Ezell. He grew up in the Woodbury community in Hill County and married Dale Allen on May 10, 1942 in Hillsboro. He served combat in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theatre. He was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars, Hillsboro Mosonic Lodge #196 AF and AM and of First Baptist Church of Hillsboro. Survivors include: his wife, Dale Ezell of Hillsboro; one son, Glenn Warren Ezell of Arlington; one brother, Bill Ezell of Fort Worth; one sister, Mrs. Sam Godfrey of Louisvile, Kentucky; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 4, at Edens Funeral Home Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Leon Vopahl and Rev. Kenneth James officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro.
