Obituary from the Nebraska State Journal, Friday Morning, December 18, 1908:
Margaret G. Hatch, aged twenty-seven years, wife of Joe M. Hatch, formerly of Lincoln but now of Des Moines, Ia., died Wednesday evening at 6:25 in a hospital at Council Bluffs, Ia. Her death followed a surgical operation performed about three weeks ago from which for a long time she seemed to be recovering, but a reaction took place a few days ago, which resulted in death. She is survived by her husband, by two small sons, Harlan and Bernard, aged respectively five and three years; also by her father, C. F. Slade, and her mother, and one sister, Helen Slade. Her husband is a linotype machinist and resided in Lincoln a number of years. The remains of Mrs. Hatch were brought back to Lincoln for interment. Funeral services will be held from 3148 S street at 2:30 p. m. today.
