VON ALLMEN, OSCAR C. JR., 87, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011.

He was a retired salesman at General Foods in Louisville, was a former policeman for Louisville area police departments, was a member of St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church in Sellersburg, IN, the Knights of Columbus in Louisville, the Marine Corps League, the Fraternal Order of Police and was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Pat Cottrell Von Allmen; his sons, Gaylord A. Von Allmen and Stewart Von Allmen; his daughter, Laurie Von Allmen and his grandson, Patrick Christian Von Allmen.

Survivors include his son, Chris Von Allmen; his sister, Margie Wehder; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

His funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at his church. Entombment will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, IN, and after 9 a.m. Friday at his church. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to his church.
