Ken worked for Tanner Manufacturing Co., retiring in 1984. He was also a member of the American Federation of Musicians and a piano player who played throughout the Erie area. Prior to World War II, he attended the Juilliard School of Music. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II from 8 Jan 1943 to 30 Oct 1945 and was assigned duty throughout the Pacific Theater. He received the Purple Heart for a wound received while a radioman on B-29 bombers.
