He passed away at his home at 2706 Fowler Avenue, Omaha, Neb., April 5, 1962, after a seven months illness, being 44 years, 3 months and 9 days of age.
He attended grade and high school in Shickley, later going to Omaha, where he was a member of the Pearl Memorial Methodist Church.
November 20, 1943, he was united in marriage to Darlene Schleuter, at Hiawatha, Kas. To this union five children were born, Dianne, Lana, Danny, Debra and Patti Sue, all at home. Aside from his wife and the five children, Dean is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Marion) Brown and Mrs. Arthur (Dollie) Schultz, both of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Also surviving are other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at a funeral home in Omaha Saturday, when Mrs. Doretta Teter Carlson was soloist. Among the pallbearers were two former Shickley-ites, Myron Teter and Kenneth Teter.
Further funeral services and burial were scheduled for Sunday afternoon in Clear Lake, S. D. at Lakeview Cemetery, but due to a severe snowstorm, they were postponed until Monday afternoon, April 9.
