Jessie Idell Brewton Brown - SAVANNAH - Jessie Idell Brewton Brown, 94, died Monday, May 23, 2011 in Savannah, GA. Mrs. Brown was born in Evans County, GA on November 20, 1916, the daughter of the late Simon W. and Mary Jane Dykes Brewton. She was an employee of Union Camp where she worked for many years and retired as a Machine Operator. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Brown and son, James Henry Brown. She is survived by her sons, John F. Brown of Lyons, GA and Alvin W. Brown and wife Cindy of Savannah; six grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church with burial following at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
