Troy Poe, 53, of 830 Carolina Ave., Bluefield, died in Bluefield Sanitarium Monday afternoon.
He was born at Sandlick, son of Bartley and India Belcher Poe. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two brothers, Roy and Lowell Poe, both of Sandlick; one half-brother, Howard Poe of Bluewell; six sisters, Ethel Poe of the home; Mrs. Mae Moore of Ravenswood; Mrs. Bonnie Shrader of Sandlick; Mrs. Eva Surface of Sandlick; Mrs. Opal Millsap of Bluefield; and Mrs. Bill Kennedy of Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mercer Funeral Home in Bluefield with Rev. T.F. Herndon and Rev. H.C. Price officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Gibson, Carlos Poe, Clayton Poe, Frederick Poe, Carl Surface and Donald Surface.
The body will remain at the Mercer Funeral Home, where friends may call.
