NOBLE, Okla. - Harmon Arthur Bloye Jr, 65, of Noble died Tuesday (Jan 10, 2006) at the Norman Regional Hospital following a period of declining health.

He was born Oct. 3, 1940 in Olean, NY and grew up in Franklinville, NY.

Mr. Bloye was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1960.

He and his family moved to Noble in 1977, and he soon began working for the University of Oklahoma. He received the Regent's Award for Superior Staff and Distinguished Service Award and was recognized by the State of Oklahoma Executive Department for volunteering more than 1,000 hours during the restoration and development of the OU Duck Pond.

Mr. Bloye enjoyed playing guitar, writing music, horses and collecting antiques. One of many accomplishments was his performing on stage during the 1981 Oklahoma State Fair. He was loved and will be missed.

Surviving are his sons, David )BLoye) Rambuski of Allegany, NY, and Dennis Bloye of Norman; daughters, Kelly Bloye Hayes of Speculator, NY and Theresa Secrist; four grandchildren of New York; eight grandchildren of Norman; and sisters, Myrtle Homick, Natalie Crawford and Karen Ferris of New York.
