Gertrude I. Priest, 97, died at Gallatin County Rest Home on October 4th.
She was born February 27, 1884, at Buchanan, Michigan, the daughter of Frank Slate and Emily Borst Slate. She grew up and received her education in Michigan.
After marrying George Priest on February 22, 1910 at Three Oaks, Michigan, the new couple moved to Manhattan, where they lived all their lives. Her husband died in 1976.
Survivors include her son, Robert K. Priest of Bozeman; and three daughters, Mrs, Loretta Postma and Mrs. W.J. [Claudia] Crane, both of Bozeman and Mrs. William [Pauline] Chastain of Weleetka, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel in Bozeman. Burial was at Meadowview Cemetery in Manhattan.
