Charles E. "Chuck" Covalt, 47, of Amarillo died Sunday, May 22, 2011.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel with Charlie Cox officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Chuck was born and raised in Amarillo, where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Canyon High School in 1982, where he was a member of the Show Choir and played guitar. He had a great love for music and played the guitar most of his life. Chuck worked at Duke Tracy's and Silver Star Supply before owning and operating Friendz Bar and Grill. He loved playing in bands, shooting pool and singing karaoke. Most of all, he loved being a dad.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ken Covalt, in 1993.

Survivors include a daughter, Chrissie Tina Covalt of Amarillo; his mother, Connie Holbrook of Amarillo; his sister, Diane Casey of Amarillo; and an aunt, Roxy Fiel of Amarillo; and a stepbrother, Greg Holbrook of Florida.
