Probably one of the most unusual cemetery sites in the Heartland. The Woodland Indian Mound is known throughout the Heartland and is mentioned in the History books because Hernando DeSoto held worship services there while exploring the Mississippi River. There are a small handfull of grave atop the mound but no more burials were allowed on top of the mound after the mid 1900's.
