MRS.GERTRUDE MOON DIED IN TROUP FRIDAY MORNING....Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at Troup Baptist chruch by the pastor,Rev.H.M. Ward, for Mrs.Gertude Moon,74 who died early Friday morning at her home in Troup.Buiral was at Bradford cemetery.Death resulted from acute indigestion.Survining is one son Ira Moon of Troup,Mrs.Will Mock, and Mrs.Cleffie Rowland both of Troup.Mrs.Pearl Barlett of Dallas.Mrs.Robert Marcus of Jefferson, and Mrs.Nannie Fullerton of Houston,.Other surving realtives include two sisters Mrs.Jennie Slover of Troup. and Annette Champion of Sacul and three brothers, E.L. Parnell of Troup, M.D. Parnell of Chico,Texas. and B. Parnell of Sacul.Twenty grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren survive.Mrs.Moon, was born and reared at New Salem in Rusk County, She was married there to R.M. Moon in 1874. the family, later moving to Omen, from which place they moved in 1894 to Troup. Mrs.Moon, was a member of the Baptist chruch,having joined that denomination when a girl.
