He was 52 and had been ill for five weeks.Mr. Benn lived at 13 Buttonwood Ave., Malvern RD and was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Malvernm, and E. Whiteland Fire Police. He was a World War II veteran.Surviving are his wife, Helen A. Benn; his father, William M., of West Chester; a daughter, Carol Anne, wife of William R. Smith of West Chester; a son, James G., serving with the U.S. Air Force and two grandchildren.
