J. FORREST RAY FUNERAL TUESDAY
J. Forrest Ray, 78, of Monroe died Sunday in Decatur Hospital after an illness of three months.
He was born in Adams County and was a retired General Electric Co., employee of Decatur. He was a lifetime member of Blue Creek Twp. Conservation Club.
Surviving are two sons, Fred F. Ray, Chief of Fire Prevention Bureau in Fort Wayne, and Harold Ray, LaJolla, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Harry Beitler, Kendalville, Mrs. Wayne Hirschy, Monroe, and Mrs. Lee Parrish, Monroe; one sister, Mrs. Chauncey Aurand, Grand Rapids, Mich.; one brother, Wilfred Ray, North Manchester; 11 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. His wife, Leslie, died in 1959.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Winteregg-Linn Funeral Home, Decatur, Rev. Donald E. Wilks officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery near Monroe. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today.
