Rose was born in Western Australia to Hartley and Kathleen McQueen Kelly. During World War ll she met and married her American sailor, Abram Hatch, in Perth, Australia. She followed him to Thailand, Singapore, and various places in the western United States.
She made her homes and yards beautiful with her talents. Rose and Abe worked together in all their endeavors for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Abram and all of his immediate family, her brothers Ernest Kelly, Claude Kelly and Frederick Kelly, a sister Eileen Rear,and most of her friends.
She is survived by her son, Garry (Vivian); sister, Beryl Landon; grandchildren: Brian (Leslie), Aaron (Stacy), Samantha (Matthew Kelly), Shawn (Kimberlee), Abram (Traci)and Renee (Wayne Larson); 19 great-grandchildren; and nieces, Colleen, Kay and Leoni. Kay is appreciated for keeping her in touch with her Australian family.
We are grateful that the trials of life are passed for her and the joys of life can now be relived with all she loved who have preceded her in death.
Friends may visit with family Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 PM or 30 minutes prior to services on Friday. Funeral will held Friday May 27, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Both viewing and funeral will be held at the Oakhills Ward, 1410 E Gentile Street, Layton, UT.
