GREENWELL – Anna Laura Withers "Larry," 84, of Louisville, died June 27, 2010 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Kirk, KY in Breckenridge Co. and was a graduate of the Nazareth School of Nursing, class of 1947. She was retired from the King's Daughters Hospital (now Jewish Hospital) in Shelbyville, KY after over 30 years of service. She later made her home in Louisville, where she attended St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lafe G. and Theresa Mattingly Withers; and her late husband, A.D. Greenwell of Taylorsville, KY. She is survived by her daughters, Ann G. Reed of Louisville, KY and Lucy Landers of Shelbyville; sons, Aaron D. Greenwell of Lexington, KY, Leslie Brooks Greenwell of Louisville, Bradley Miles Greenwell of Columbus, OH and Timm Withers Greenwell of Louisville; sisters, Margaret Tucek of Estero, FL, Jean Wheatley of Jacksonville, FL and Lafie Jolly of McQuady, KY; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral is 11 A.M. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Greenwell-Jenkins-Houghlin Funeral Home, with Father John Stoltz officiating. Burial is in Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville. Visitation is 4-8 P.M. Wednesday, July 30, 2010 at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Kentucky Kidney Foundation or the American Red Cross. Greenwell-Jenkins-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
