Gordon S. "Joe" Devine of Quincy passed away at home on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at age 72. A lifelong Quincy resident, he was the owner of Frizell Ladder Company in North Quincy for 46 years, a member of Hough's Neck Congregational Church, American Legion Post 380 and a Life Member of Quincy Yacht Club. The Beloved Sweetheart of Catherine T. Donald of Quincy, Joe was the brother of James Devine and his wife Dorothy of Brownville, ME, nephew of Galen Stalker of Plaistow, NH, uncle of James Devine, Jr. of Oakdale, CA, Ginger Wentworth of Brownville, ME, Phillip Devine of Manchester, NH, Robert Devine of Newfields, NH, Donald Devine of Raymond, NH, Jean Wells of Ceres, CA, Susan Boucher of Kingston, NH and Ann Sickler of Brownville, ME. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm St., Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Saturday there will be a funeral service at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Burial in NH will be at a later date.
