John Dillon Clements, born July 23, 1916, son of Linnie and Dillon Clements, passed away on January 23, 2009. John had a life of many interests, including his own orchestra in the 1930s and 40s, a successful career in the advertising business, and political advisor to many politicians throughout the country, including Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon. He proudly served as the CEO of Political Research , Inc . for over 40 years. He is survived by his daughter Lynne Clements Burleson, his daughter Daphne Peggy Clements Firestone and her husband John Firestone, 5 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Gladys Clements, his brothers Francis Clements and Robert Clements, his son Allan Clements, and great-grandson Clint Cleveland. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Sparkman-Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel.
